What a great way to kick off the 2019-2020 school year! Hype Day was a blast and I hope that each of you had an amazing day!
We head into our final concert of the 2018-2019 school year and top things off this weekend with Solo and Ensemble and the 2019 Band Banquet.
Please check below for call times on Friday night. Also, please check the board in the band hall for the finalized Solo and Ensemble Schedule.
If you were not able to attend saturday's registration, please plan on our make up registration on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00pm. All students must register for the 2019 Season.

UIL Physical requirements for 2019-2020 School year are posted below. All students must have a physical completed annually for Frisco ISD and it must be completed prior to the first day of band camp. Please plan with your physician to schedule your annual check-up prior to band camp beginning.

Band Banquet Details
Banquet Details
Where: Marriott at Shops of Legacy (free parking in the parking garage located directly behind the Marriott by Dallas Pkwy (7121 Bishop Rd, Plano 75024)).
Time: 5:45-11:30
Attire: Semi-formal
Instructions for check-in:
- Check-In Alphabetically by Students' last name
- Begins at 5:45pm; All to be check-in by 6:25pm
- Students will pick up their Memory Book and Show Shirts at this time. Those not attending banquet may pick up their shirts next week.
As a reminder, students have signed up for tables. Students will sit on the student side of the room (left). Parents and adults will sit on the opposite side (right). Dinner will be served at 6:30pm! Our Awards and Recognition Ceremony will begin at approximately 7pm.
Afterwards, students and staff will remain after awards for the dance from (approx.) 8:30pm to 11:30pm. The event ends promptly at 11:30 - students should have a ride waiting BY 11:30.
As a final reminder, we are unable to accommodate any walk-up attendees for this event.

Band Spring Concert, Solo Contest, and Band Banquet is this week. We will continue playing our solos for each other during class along with preparing for our Spring Concert. I look forward to seeing you all at Band Banquet!!
Wakeland Percussion Presents YAMAHA Sounds of Summer Frisco
I am happy to announce that we are hosting a YAMAHA Sounds of Summer June 10-11 and we will have Ray Ulibarri working with us on June 12. More information about this camp can be found at wakelandband.org“More” tab and click on “WHS Percussion Sounds of Summer”. This camp is open to every percussionist grades 7th-12th in Frisco ISD. Please sign up before May 24 to make guarantee you receive a T-Shirt!

UIL Required Band Physicals Information
Lone Star Ambassadors: Europe 2020
Join us for our 2020 Lone Star Ambassadors (LSA) informational meeting on May 13th at 6:30 pm.
Students have the opportunity to spend 2-weeks visiting SEVEN countries including in the cultures, music, and sightseeing!
Sites visited in 2018:
- London, UK
- Paris, France
- Switzerland
- Austria
- Venice, Italy
- Lichenstein
- Rotenburg, Germany
The 2020 tour will be from June 9-24, 2020.
The meeting is not a commitment. We just want to see as many of you all there to get information and ask questions. The LSA sponsor will be on site to give a brief presentation and field all questions about the trip.
Students currently in Grades 8-11 are able to attend and the meeting is open for students and parents.
