Family Conferences March 15th and March 24th

It is time to sign-up for Spring Conferences! We had nearly 100% attendance in the fall and we look forward to seeing families either in the building or virtually. Each teacher has created a sign-up sheet and directions about in-person and virtual options. Please choose the date and time slot that would be best for your family. As always, please contact your child's teacher if you need other arrangements.

The second trimester ends on March 11th and teachers will have important progress note information along with winter assessment results. Teachers who share children will provide homeroom teachers information to share and we can add any other teacher that works with your child onto the conference, please just request this from your child's homeroom teacher.

I will be present both nights! Stop by my office for a chat, or schedule a meeting in advance to be sure and catch me if you wish.

Health Protocols for Optional Mask Decision

Mask wearing is a personal choice for adults and a parental choice for students with the following exceptions:

Illness

“Sick people should not be at school.” - Dr. Rebecca Bell

Stay home when you are sick

  • Any person with symptoms of illness should stay home until they have been fever-free, without the use of medication, for 24 hours and have markedly improved symptoms. Anyone ill at school, will be sent home.

Covid Testing

  • 2 negative antigen tests, as close to 24 hours apart as possible, or 1 PCR or LAMP test are recommended before returning to school for anyone with the following symptoms:

    • Fever, Cough, Shortness of breath, Chills, Fatigue, Muscle or body aches, Headache, Sore throat, Congestion or runny nose, Nausea or Vomiting, Diarrhea or New loss of taste or smell.

  • Testing for new symptoms is recommended even for those who have tested positive within the last 90 days

  • If a person has tested positive for COVID and returns to school before Day 10, a mask will be required at school through Day 10.

Does your child have symptoms?

Notify the school nurse of any student with symptoms of illness. Antigen and LAMP tests are currently available at all RNESU schools.

Exposure

  • If a person is identified as a close contact outside of school, of someone with COVID-19, a mask will be required at school through Day 10. (Close contact means being within 6 feet, for a total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period, of someone with COVID)

  • If a person is identified as a presumptive contact, a mask will be required at school through Day 10. (Presumptive contact means a student or staff member who shared a classroom with someone with COVID.)
