Change Wars - Let the Battle Begin!

Many of our school field trips and in-house residencies are supported through classroom accounts. Unfortunately the limitations imposed during the pandemic had a big impact on our fundraising opportunities, so our classroom accounts are at an all-time low. Let's change that!

Next week, our PTO will be hosting Change Wars in the center hallway of the K-8 wing - but this event is for everyone! Each grade will have a drop box to collect all manner of currency - bills - change - checks (payable to BJAMS PTO) - for your student's classroom accounts.

CHANGE WARS runs OCT 17-21

The class that raises the most money will win a dress down day!

Syrup is still flowing!

Thank you McConnell Family for your donation to our kitchen.

Our BJAMS Families blessed us with nearly 1/2 of the year's syrup need in just a few weeks.

WOW and THANK YOU!

All Saints' Day Is Fast Approaching!

All Saints' Day is a solemn holy day of the Catholic Church celebrated annually on November 1. The day is dedicated to the saints of the Church, that is, all those who have attained heaven. It should not be confused with All Souls' Day, which is observed on November 2, and is dedicated to those who have died and not yet reached heaven.

Although millions, or even billions of people may already be saints, All Saints' Day observances tend to focus on known saints -- those recognized in the canon of the saints by the Catholic Church.

All Saints' Day is also commemorated by members of the Eastern Orthodox Church as well as some protestant churches, such as Lutheran and Anglican churches.

Students have been working hard, studying saints, creating art, and writing reports. We are excited to host a variety of activities for our students on this special (half) day!

All Saints' Day Drop and Swap

As mentioned above, All Saints' Day is fast approaching and we are thinking about costumes! Do you have any old All Saints' Day costumes/parts that you would be willing to donate to other families? If you do, please drop off your donated All Saints' Day costumes/parts the week of October 17. We will display costumes/parts the week of October 24, starting at pick-up. Drop what you can, take what you need. After All Saints' Day, hang on to this year's costumes/parts until next year's Drop and Swap. NOTE: You do not need to contribute to the swap to benefit from the swap!
