For those families who chose Remote Academy, feel free to scroll down until you see the Parent/Teacher (and Student!) Conferences notice.
If you have any questions about either of our learning options this year, please contact Mrs. Krall-Meske or Mr. Henkel. As we get closer to Trimester 3, parents will be given the opportunity to select hybrid or remote for their students again.

Hybrid Student Video & Procedures
Watch (or re-watch) the video below to understand what the new arrival, dismissal, and safety procedures will look like here in the building. This will also be shared with our hybrid students during Advisory this week, as a review, and to check for questions. While this is all very new, especially for our 6th graders, please know that we have so many adults who are very excited to welcome our students back into the building, and get them where they need to go.
RTMS Hybrid AM/PM Arrival & Dismissal Procedures
If you are driving your child to and from school, please be patient, especially as we first start this new arrival/dismissal experience. Parents should NOT use the bus lane, or block the bus lane. In order to prevent a backup on Wolf Road, the left hand lane in the front parking lot must keep moving (exiting the parking lot, turning left, and returning to the entrance if necessary). We will have staff outside to help direct you. Some parents plan ahead with their children to meet them in the church parking lot next door (Northwest Assembly of God), or on the neighboring streets in order to avoid the parking lot traffic.
We are also reminding students what they should be putting together this week so that they are ready to return to the building. These items should be with them daily when they are in the building:
Lanyard with completed Health Certification Form
Mask(s)
Backpack
Chromebook and Charger
Whiteboard and Expo Marker
School Supplies
Bus Pass (if using the bus, bus pass and info was sent home with the supply pick up in November)
Lanyards
We have a limited number of extras, so please call the office if you know that you need a replacement.
Daily Health Certification
As a reminder, parents/guardians will be asked to certify the health of their students on a daily basis before their student will be able to enter the building. Every student received a blue lanyard and a pad of Daily Health Certification slips. Each morning, parents/guardians should check to make sure the student does not have any of the following symptoms:
Fever of 100.4° F or greater
Cough
Shortness of breath
Sore throat
Head or muscle aches or Abdominal pain
New loss of taste or smell
Chills
Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea
Unexplained fatigue
New congestion/runny nose
If a student does not have any of the above listed symptoms, they are healthy to enter the building. Parents/guardians need to sign off on the daily health certification sheet, place it in the student’s lanyard, and place the lanyard on the student so that it is visible when the student arrives at school.
If the student is displaying any of these symptoms, they will need to stay home for at least 10 days from the onset of symptoms. They may return sooner than that if proof of negative Covid test or alternate diagnosis is provided from a doctor. Please report any absences to the RTMS office (847) 298-1750.

RTMS Variety Show
Thank you to all of the students who submitted videos for our first ever virtual Variety Show. Mr. Flowers, Mrs. Cascella, and Mrs. Steigerwald have been busy putting this video together, and are excited to share it with students and families. Please check out our school website on Friday, January 15th, at 7:00 p.m. to access the video. The "Staff Masked Singer" will be released then, as well... will you be able to figure out who all of these amazingly talented singers are??
