Message for the Week

I would like to take the opportunity to wish each and every one of you a Happy New Year!!! It is hard to believe 2016 is already here and we are half way through the school year! This past year has been a challenging year for many of us. We have four additional staff members and approximately one hundred and ten students more than we did last year. We have sacrificed space, class sizes have grown, and lines are much longer...from drop off in the morning, to breakfast and lunch, and to parent pickup in the afternoon!

Guess what? I am not complaining!!! Our new staff are valuable assets to this campus and we have one hundred and ten more students that we have the opportunity to educate!!! I am proud to lead this campus, and I am even more proud to say that I have never heard one complaint! Is it always easy? Absolutely not, but achieving greatness is never easy!

Our new Superintendent, King Davis, came to visit yesterday and I welcomed him to the BEST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN THE WORLD! His response was a chuckle, a smile and a few words..."You've got to believe that to make it happen!" I believe it! Every day is a journey and a step closer to greatness. Our students deserve deserve it!

As we go into the second semester, let's remember why we are here...for the students! Let this year be a year of greatness for Carroll Elementary!

Parting Thought

“When you get into a tight place, and everything goes against you till it seems as if you couldn’t hold on a minute longer, never give up then, for that’s just the place and time that the tide’ll turn.”
