SGO Giving - and Receiving – Opportunity
Did you know that a gift to our SGO Scholarship fund entitles you to 50% - 85% off your gift (depending on your tax bracket)! This applies to both individuals AND businesses!
Every year Indiana allocates $7.5 million in tax credits for SGOs to offer individuals and businesses as an INCENTIVE to fund scholarships. This allows Indiana to GIVE YOU BACK 50% OF YOUR GIFT! However, this is not all. A gift to Traders Point Christian Academy’s SGO Scholarship fund entitles you to a 50% state tax credit PLUS federal deduction.* (See example.) This makes up the remaining potential savings.
This is a “no-brainer” for those with tax liability, giving you the opportunity to give a substantial gift to the school and even pay less than you owe already for state taxes. For example, let’s say you owe the state $1,500. If you give a gift for $3,000 (double what you owe), you receive $1,500 back in state tax CREDIT. Your out of pocket is STILL only $1,500, but TPCA gets your $3,000 gift! It doesn’t cost you a penny more; in fact, with the additional federal deduction*, you will ultimately pay less than $1,500 because you gave! With this opportunity, you owe less in taxes and the students in our school receive an education that will impact them for eternity!
True Cost Example:
Madrigal Dinner-This Saturday, Dec 6th
HEAR YE! HEAR YE! YE OLDE MADRIGAL DINNER IS TO BE HELD ON DECEMBER 6 AT 6:30 AT YE OLDE TRADERS POINT CHRISTIAN ACADEMY!!
Music students from 7th grade through 12th grade have been busy preparing an evening of entertainment for the families and friends of TPCA.
On the evening of December 5, we will transform the gymnasium into a castle setting, and then on December 6, we will entertain as well as feed about 230 guests at the castle.
All High School students will serve as our Royal Court, completely dressed in Medieval costume, and providing glorious music! All 7th and 8th grade choir students will sing as well as serve the meal! It is the custom for all courses of food to be “sung about” at a Madrigal Feast. A Jester, magic and comedic entertainment will be provided as well as festival Christmas music for all!
Parents, please note: This is a performance and is required by all music students. 7th and 8th grade students will be dressing in their black and white choir uniform, and should arrive by 6:00 on December 6.
We know this will be a wonderful way to begin your Christmas Holiday Season!
If have any questions, please contact Mrs. Gail Powell gpowell@tpcs.org

The band program will begin at 7:30, but students should arrive at 7:00 and should wear their Band and Strings uniforms. If you have any questions regarding the band program, please contact Mr. Nathan Perry nperry@tpcs.org.
If you come across the bridge on 334 (Whitestown Parkway), remember that it will be Christmas season and the traffic is extremely heavy on the bridge. Please allow extra travel time or consider an alternate route to the school building. The programs will begin promptly at 6:00 and 7:30.

SCRIP- Shop to Earn Cash Back for Tuition!
Don't forget to use your Scrip card orders for Christmas! Our last two orders before Christmas will be placed Monday, December 8th and Monday, December 15th. With scrip fundraising, families can easily earn cash for tuition for their own children (80%) and for the school (20%) while they shop.
Scrip is simple. Order gift cards, e-cards, reloadable or printable certificates for many places at which you shop, dine and play already and a percentage of what you spend comes right back to you as a credit on your student account. Simply use scrip gift cards for everyday purchases, and earn a rebate on each one at no additional cost.
Scrip is much easier than in the past. Families will purchase all orders online – no checks, no submitting order forms to the school -- and your cards/certificates are available either instantly for print, redemption on your Smartphone, or as reloadable gift cards. For more information, visit the Scrip website at www.shopwithscrip.com.
To sign up you will need our Traders Point enrollment code. However, we are unable to publicly publish our enrollment code for security reasons. Please email tpcascrip@gmail.com for this code and further directions.
We pray this will be a blessing to all of our Traders Point families!
Important News … We’re Starting FRESH!
The Marsh Fresh Ideas for Education program has been in existence for over nine years. During that time thousands of shoppers have registered their Fresh IDEA, OMalia’s CouponPLUS and MainStreet Market Reward$ card and many of those cards have been lost, shoppers have moved away and children have moved on to other schools or graduated.
In order for the program to more accurately and fairly represent the efforts of active schools Marsh is requiring all card holders re-enroll for the 2014-2015 program in order to continue to earn credit for Traders Point Christian Academy. Card holders may begin enrolling & re-enrolling their cards to support our school now. The link is http://www.freshideasforeducation.com/cards/ Our school code is: 28886.
Each time you shop with your Fresh Ideas Card you earn points for Traders Point. We use these points to order equipment and supplies at the end of the year. It is a convenient and simple way to support our school. Thank you for taking a minute to sign up!
So far we have had only 15 shoppers sign up. It's quick and easy – just click on the link, enter your Fresh Ideas card number, and indicate Traders Point. Thank you!
