National Honor Society Applications (Current Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors)
Dear NTH@C Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors,
The applications for New Tech’s chapter of National Honor Society are now open. NHS membership is open to those students in grades 10-12 who meet the required standards in four areas of evaluation: scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Students will be selected for membership by majority vote of a five-member faculty council. Applications are due to Mr. Greenwalt’s room by Thursday, March 29th at 4:10 pm. No late submissions will be accepted.
Candidates will be notified regarding selection or non-selection once the faculty council has reviewed and approved the applications. Following notification, a formal induction ceremony will be held at NTH@C to recognize the newly selected members.

Please go HERE and read through the instructions and complete your registration. A completed registration consists of:
- Courses entered in HAC
- 8 periods worth of courses, no more, no less.
- The "Alternate Request, Endorsement and Dual Credit" form completed
- 4-Year plan completed (9th and 10th graders) and uploaded to Naviance
Please read through the course guide, and pay attention to the graduation requirements (pgs 8-9) when you are planning your courses.
Have all of the above completed no later than March 20th.

The Day is rolling around and we want everyone to participate! Leaners, facilitators, and parents please sign up on jointheday.org under the volunteer tab! Sign up with your friends (10 people a group). Learners will earn 4 hours of community service and will get free breakfast in the morning! Can't wait to see everyone come out!!

Coppell Education Foundation Run To Fund
The Coppell Education Foundation is hosting the annual Run to Fund on Saturday, May 5th. The race will be a 1-Mile Fun Run and a Timed 5K and will be held at a new location – Andy Brown East. Our goal is for this run to be a family-friendly event with participation from all of our CISD schools.
The link to register can be found on the Coppell Education Foundation website www.coppellisdef.com/run-to-fund. Encourage everyone to register now, because prices go up on April 1st.
The Coppell Education Foundation is donating $2 from every race entry to the Physical Education Departments of all CISD campuses including both high school campuses and Victory Place. Each registrant has the opportunity on their online registration form to indicate which school will receive the $2 contribution. This is where you can increase money for your PE department by encouraging your students and staff to register for the race and select your school.
Bonus Money: In addition to the $2 per race entry donation, we will also have bonus weeks and overall bonuses. For the bonus weeks, feel free to suggest a challenge. Only requirement is that every campus can participate. We’ll put up $50 per challenge (up to 3). An overall bonus of $100 will go to one elementary and one secondary campus. The overall bonus winners will be determined based on the number of total entries for that campus vs their enrollment.
NOTE: We have added additional age categories to the 5K so there are more opportunities to medal than previous years. Age groups for students are: ages 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16 & 17-19. Please encourage your youngest runners to participate in the timed 5K.
Entertainment: In previous years, we have had school groups perform (I believe Austin’s marimba group has performed in the past) . If your campus has a group that would be interested, please let me know.
All race registrations must be made online. There is a discounted price for CISD students and staff for the 5K. The CISD student & staff price for the 1 Mile Fun Run is $20 and the 5K is $25 for early registration through March 31. Prices will increase as race day draws closer.
