Mental Monday's During Husky Time!
Monday, January 11, is our next "Mental Monday” during Husky Time. To tie in our celebration of our school counselors this week, our topic is “The Heart of the School.” Students will look at the many ways school counselors have helped them. They will then write affirmations on hearts to put in large jars for our 2 counselors to enjoy reading and sharing with others.
Part of our Capturing Kids' Hearts process is to teach students how to appreciate what others have done for them, and to learn what it means to be servant leader who leads with the heart. A school counselor defines what it means to lead with a servant heart! Writing affirmations to their counselor empowers the students to write out how thankful they are for what the counselors do for the school and for them personally.

This is ME!
This is ME!
"But I won’t let them break me down to dust
I know that there’s a place for us (…)
When the sharpest words wanna cut me down
I’m gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out
I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I’m meant to be, this is me!"
