Congratulations Are In Order!
Let us congratulate Ms. Kelly Hanson, our new JSD Special School District Parent Advisory Council Representative (PAC). As a mother of 5, Ms. Hanson finds purpose in advocating for students and families. When asked to share a bit about herself, she enthusiastically stated, "I was raised in Jennings and returned 3 years ago with my family. As an employee of Special School District, education is a big part of my life."
As a PAC Council member, Ms. Hanson looks forward to serving the Jennings community by collaborating to improve the education, confidence, and social outcomes of each student served by SSD. She's also committed to:
- Networking and communicating with other parents of children who receive special education services;
- Becoming as informed as possible about special education services;
- Improving communication between Jennings school district and SSD;
- Creating a positive understanding and awareness of students with disabilities;
