Trust Yourself...You Know More Than you Think You Do
The same goes for our new ELA curriculum and the ReadyGen resource. Although the texts are new, the programatic pieces of it are new, and some of the language is new, you are all experienced, expert teachers. You know kids. You know literacy instruction. You know best practices. The rest will come through experience working with the curriculum. You will continue to learn and grow regardless of the resource put infront of you. You will implement new best practices, and find new ways to engage your kids in reading and writing. But you have a strong foundation to build upon. Don't forget that. :-) There is a purpose and a passion to what you are doing. Focus on what you do know, what your kids are doing, and celebrate the successes you are seeing. I hope to come in and see more literacy instruction over the next couple of weeks. But I can tell you, in the rooms I've been in, it's been AMAZING. That isn't ReadyGen. It's you.

TEAM
We are going to be piloting a new paperwork system called Success Plan, so if you bring a student to TEAM, we'll demonstrate that process for you. It's done through eschool.
In the meantime, if you need to bring a student up to TEAM, please complete the same paperwork we've had in the past. You can find that at our building TEAM website. Link is below. If you're unsure about how to bring a student up for support, or have other questions about the problem-solving process, please don't hesitate to visit a member of TEAM.
Senior Center Partnership
Classroom Readers, Listeners, and Partners
PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP IF YOU ARE INTERSTED IN A SENIOR PARTNER. :-)
The goal of this program is to develop a two-way relationship across generations.
Please let me know if you would like to have a classroom visitor weekly to partner with your classroom as a volunteer, read to your students, or listen to your students read.
