Here is a short prayer that has helped me from time to time...
God, grant me

A Reading From The Gospel for Sunday, March 29, 2020
March 29, 2020 ~ A reading from the holy Gospel according to John.
Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that God will give you whatever you ask of him."
Jesus said to her, " I am the resurrection and the life. Do you believe this?"
She said to him, "Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God."
Jesus said, "Where have you laid him?"
They said to him, "Lord, come and see."
Jesus said, "Take away the stone."
When he had said this, he cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out!"
The dead man came out, his hands and feet bound with strips of cloth, and his face wrapped in a cloth.
Jesus said to them, "Unbind him, and let him go."
Many of the Jews therefore, who had come with Mary and had seen what Jesus did, believed in him.
The Gospel of the Lord.

Daily Prayers for Lent
- My loving Lord, it's so hard to love the world sometimes and to love it the way Jesus did seems impossible. Help me to be inspired by his love and guided by his example. Most of all, I want to accept that I can't do it alone, and that trying is an arrogance of self-centeredness. I need you, dear God, to give me support in this journey. Show me how to unlock my heart so that I am less selfish. Let me be less fearful of the pain and darkness that will be transformed by you into aster joy.
Monday, March 30, 2020
- God of love, I know that you are the source of all that is good and graced in my life. Help me to move from the life of sin to which I so often cling, into the new life of grace you offer me. You know what I need to prepare for your kingdom. Bless me with those gifts.
Tuesday, March 31, 2020
- Loving God, You have heard my complaints, my impatience. Sometimes I become frightened when I move away from you. Guide my heart back to you. Help me to think beyond my own wants and to desire only to do your will. Thank you for the many blessings in my life and for the ways I feel your presence.
Wednesday, April 1, 2020
- Loving Creator, I know in your great love for me, you see the deep sorrow in my heart. Hear my prayers which are offered with such trust in your. Be with me in both mind and heart as I renew my life in your spirit.
Thursday, April 2, 2020
- Lord, all I want is to be faithful to you in my life, but so often I fail. Free me from my many sins and guide me to the life I will share with you. I wait for your promise to be fulfilled with great hope in my heart and your praise on my lips.
Friday, April 3, 2020
- Most forgiving Lord, again and again you welcome me back into your loving arms. Grant me freedom from the heavy burdens of sin that weigh me down and keep me so far from you.
Saturday, April 4, 2020
- Loving God, Your eternal watchfulness keeps me safe from harm. I am filled with a great happiness when I feel your endless love for me. Thank you for your care for me, one of your children. I ask you to protect from harm those who will soon be your church. Please continue to pour out your blessings on all of us who have been given the life giving waters of baptism.

I Am Here For You!
Hi Parents,
How are you? This is Simone, the Family Wellness Worker at OLPH school. I have been thinking of you ALOT lately! Just a few weeks ago, my whole understanding of "it takes a village to raise a child" was in play. We had accessibility to a collective responsibility of caring for the children TOGETHER in our school and in our community. It was a beautiful thing.
As of today, the typical village is not looking the exact same. Teachers are working from a distance and your kids are limited to just seeing the same adults every day. Your village looks a little different but we want you to know we are still here. I am accessible via email, booked phone appointment and google hangout.
But this week, I turn my thoughts to you, the parents. From my perspective, the kids will be just fine, as long as the adults holding them are okay. So I ask again, how are you? It is okay to feel anxiety, sad, frustration, loss of control or overwhelm, you are certainly not alone. But from my perspective, you need to NAME IT to TAME IT. If you need help naming it, feel free to reach out to me to chat. I am available to you as well! I have attached a link below to a Google Form to help you with contacting me.
Please feel free to contact me if you need anything.
Warm wishes,
Simone Moniz BA, MC.

Grade 8 - Voyage Quebec Trip Dates
Dear Grade 8 Parents,
It is with a heavy heart that we officially confirm that the Grade 8 Quebec Trip is cancelled this year.
I know that it is devastating for our students and families who have worked hard all year to prepare and fundraise for this trip.
At this time, we are asking for your patience as we figure out how to manage this unprecedented situation regarding the fundraising money since the trip will not be happening.
We will communicate more once we know more details.
In the meantime, if you have any questions about your travel insurance, please contact Nacel Canada directly at info@nacelcanada.org.
Thank you and best regards,
