Parent Technology Tutorials

Do you need assistance with the many technology tools that your child uses while at school? If so, take a moment to check out this amazing resource!

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

At West Central, we have celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month in a variety of ways. Each day on the morning announcements, students learned a new Spanish word and acknowledged the independence days of many Spanish-speaking countries. Students and teachers also dressed in traditional Hispanic clothing. In addition, our sixth graders learned about famous Hispanic individuals and held a wax museum to teach all of our students about them. Students have completed a variety of art projects, too, both in school and in our afterschool program, ASPIRE.

PTO School Fundraiser

We kicked off our first PTO school fundraiser on October 7, and all orders are due by Wednesday, October 27. Join The Clubhouse by simply registering online using the information in your child's fundraiser packet. Share the fundraiser information from The Clubhouse by emailing friends and family or by posting on social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram. Students can earn amazing rewards for participating in this fundraiser, and the school benefits, too!

Report cards will go home on Thursday, October 21!

At West Central Elementary, we do things the RCS Way! We are Ready to Learn, Courteous, and Safe!

At West Central, we reward students when they meet school-wide expectations and demonstrate the RCS Way with behavior points using a program called PBIS Rewards. Students may use those points for immediate rewards or may save them for grade-level or school-wide PBIS celebrations. Our first PBIS celebration will take place on Thursday, October 21, and students must have 75 points in order to attend.
