Stay Connected!

There are lots of ways to stay connected to what's going on in fifth grade at Weinert!

2. Sign up for each teacher's Remind 101 text alerts

3. Sign up for AR home connect

4. Sign up for Parent Portal (online grades) and set up which alerts you want to get

5. Make sure we have current email and phone numbers throughout the year

School Supplies

Please bring by the end of the week

Here is a list of school supplies that will be needed: (**Not on regular supply list)


Homeroom--will be collected


2 boxes of kleenex

1 large bottle of hand sanitizer**

1 4-pack of dry erase markers (chisel tip)**

2 glue sticks

1 regular size bottle of liquid glue**



Things to keep in backpack at ALL times:


8 count washable markers

Pencils

Personal Sharpener**

8 count map pencils

1 large pink eraser

1 pair of 5" scissors

Notebook paper

12 inch ruler (needs to have centimeters on it also)

Large pencil pouch for supplies

1 Glue stick**

Compostition book for Science

Compostition book for Math



Not needed--spiral notebooks, binder, divider

Fifth Grade Camping Trip

Tuesday, Oct. 8th, 8am to Thursday, Oct. 10th, 4pm

Leakey, TX

Weinert Fifth Grade will be having their 3rd Annual Camping Trip to Leakey this October. Be looking for information coming home about that soon! To answer a few questions...


When? Oct 8-10

Who? The entire fifth grade & teachers

Where? HEB foundation camp in Leakey, TX (about 2 1/2 hours away)

How? We leave early by bus on Tuesday morning and return Thursday afternoon

Where do we sleep? There are 8 cabins with 2 adults and about 10 kids in each one. There are bunk beds for everyone. There are bathrooms in the cabins.

What to bring? bedding (sleeping bag or twin sheets/blanket & pillow), clothes that can get dirty, swimsuit (must wear t-shirt over), toiletries (shampoo, toothpaste, hair brush, deodorant, etc)

What NOT to bring? electronics, phones, food, toys

Can parents come? We may be looking for a few dads to come help out. Let us know if you are interested.

Will everyone have fun? YES!

Will everyone learn a lot? YES!


Monitor AR Reading from your phone or computer!

Go to https://hosted276.renlearn.com/365206/homeconnect/ to log in using your child's school login info. Then go to email options to get a notice everytime they take an AR quiz. If you have any questions about AR, please let one of the teachers know.
