The Central Scoop

From the Principal's Desk...
Dear Parents,
We were able to start our Activity Day outside (and did two rotations of activities), but then we needed to move indoors due to incoming bad weather. Luckily, we made it in safe and sound... and dry! But due to the uncertainty of the day's weather (that seemed to be changing by the minute!), we decided to move Activity Day indoors for the rest of the day. We used all of our large spaces for fun activities in the afternoon, including:
Small gym - Hula Hoop Dance Party
Big Gym - Parachute
Learning Commons - Denmark Dice Game, Legos, and Ping Pong Air Challenge
Auditorium - Go Noodle
The children were all "First Class Central" throughout the day and everyone had a wonderful time (see the pictures below). Thank you to Ms Peth and Ms Fritz at the helm for making Activity Day so successful. We also want to thank all the volunteers who came to help and demonstrated flexibility as well. We appreciated everyone's patience.

4th Grade Music Assembly
Thank you to everyone who attended our 4th grade music performance. Mrs. Jeanne Gierke and the fourth graders performed beautifully. The performance brought tears to many adult eyes as we all watched the performance on stage. We would like to thank Mrs. Jeanne Gierke for all of her creativity and hard work to make this happen. Of course the fourth graders themselves should be proud of the performance!

From the Nurse's Office
Call Central School "Safe Phone" For Absences: 847-512-6150
Please call the "SAFE" (absence) phone to report absences even if you let the classroom teacher know, because some teachers don't see the email/voicemail until later in the day. Teachers assume you are calling the office. It's important that the school nurse is directly aware of any absences otherwise, your son/daughter may be considered "missing." The school nurse keeps track of all school absences in the building. For safety reasons, we want to make sure all of our students are accounted for and safe.
