The Burruss Blast
A Message from the Principal
Hello, October! I hope you all enjoyed a lovely fall break. We have had a great two weeks back at school! A nice fall breeze is finally in the air--isn't it lovely?!
Students and staff are working hard all day every day, learning and growing as readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, and historians! Just as importantly, they are growing as citizens of our community, learning about being IB learners who are caring, inquiring, risk-takers, knowledgeable, open-minded, thinkers, communicators, reflective, and principled.
This month is jam-packed with events! They are listed below for your convenience, and not all of them made it onto the paper calendar that went home last week, so please add them in!
Please reach out to me or to my assistant principal, Mrs. Hartley-Lewis, if we can ever be of assistance!
Warm regards,
Jillian Johnson, Ed.D.

Thanks for Giving to the Canned Food Drive!
It’s time for Thanks for Giving, a food drive to help our families in Cobb! All items donated go towards Thanksgiving meal packages for families in our own community. Items also help provide meals and snacks for children home from school on Thanksgiving break.
Please send in any of the listed items with your child from now until Thanksgiving Break! The winning grade gets a movie and popcorn celebration, and the winning grade’s teachers will get to enjoy a breakfast out!
Thanks for thinking of Every Child, Every Day!
