Alan Turing

Impact Alan Turing had on modern Computing

Who was Alan Turing?

Alan Turing was born in London on the 23rd of June 1912. He was a pioneering English Computer scientist, mathematician, logician, cryptanalyst and theoretical biologist. Alan invented a computer that could crack codes.

Alan studied and went to King's College in Cambridge. He went to this school between 1931 and 1934. Alan Turing also went to Princeton University in 1936 until 1938. At these two schools he learned Mathematics, Science and other subjects.

The Code breaker!

The computer that Alan Turing made was one of a kind, it could crack codes, read codes and understand them. It could understand symbols. He made the machine that cracked the Enigma code, this code was a code that the nazi's put on a computer.
