Principal's Pride
It is my pleasure to acknowledge the following students: Payton Amdahl, Haley Larson, Jayda Nesvacil, Logan Simenson for being fantastic role models at Cadott Elementary.
Payton was willing to help out by returning and plugging in a Chromebook that a classmate left behind. He is a great role model to his peers. Thank you and keep up the great work, Payton!
Haley is always such a great role model to her peers. I can count on her to be listening, on task, and working hard. She is willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed. Thank you and keep up the great work, Haley!
Jayda is always such a great role model to her peers. I can count on her to be listening, on task, and working hard. Thank you and keep up the great work, Jayda!
Logan shows enthusiasm with his positive energy and attitude, and encourages those just leaning to play basketball. His good sportsmanship is shown in his fair play, not bragging about his skills, but rather using his abilities to coach and encourage others. He has a way of looking out for others and making them feel important and valued. He has the qualities of a team captain!

PACE sponsored Teacher Appreciation Week
Do you want to show appreciation for your child’s teacher, and you just don’t have the time, energy, or creativeness to make it happen? PACE is the solution!
We will be hosting a teacher appreciation week again this year, May 1st-5th. During the week we plan on providing the teachers with special treats each day, small tokens of affection, and gifts for each teacher at the conclusion of the week.
You can be involved in any way you choose: monetary donation, food, gift cards, gift baskets, or time and energy.
Please contact Beth Schneider 715.577.3878 to get involved in showing our teachers how much we appreciate them!
Looking for more parent involvement in making decisions for our school
There are a couple specific ways that parents can be more involved in their child's school. First is to attend the PACE meetings. We will be extending our Building Leadership Team work into our PACE meetings each month so that we can share building level data and involve parents in decision making that will directly impact our educational programs and systems. If you are interested in hearing more about what happens inside the building and more a part of the decisions that impact your children please attend the PACE meetings each month. Our next PACE meeting will be Monday, May 1st
Second is the Open House Planning Committee. Early in May we will be making plans for our start of the school year Open House Event. I will be looking for 3-6 parent volunteers to join this planning committee. If you are interested in helping to plan or if you simply have ideas that we should consider for the elementary Open House, please complete the Open House Survey below.
Shell Lake Middle School Honors Choir
On Friday, April 7th, 12 students from the Junior High Choir and 6th Grade Choir participated in the Shell Lake Middle School Honors Choir at the Shell Lake Arts Center. This all day festival started at 8:00 A.M. in Shell Lake, Wisconsin and came to a fantastic conclusion at the 6:00 P.M. concert. Students who participated in the festival were Lakeisha Burzinski, Olivia Goodman, Shelby Gunem, Kyle Helminski, Grace Janicki, Mckenna Kane, Jozlynn Messenger, Garrett Nerdrum, Jayda Nesvacil, David Pagel, Sam Scheidler, and Ethan Solie.
Eighteen schools participated in the Middle School Honors Choir this year totaling over 150 students. The students spent the day rehearsing and perfecting selected pieces with the top musicians in 6th through 8th grade from those 18 schools. Their hard work paid off by ending the day with a spectacular performance.

5th Grade to Visit UW Eau Claire
Next Thursday, our fifth-grade students will be traveling to Eau Claire to take part in the Bluegold Beginnings Program. This program includes 5th Grade Campus Tour Days, which connect local and outreach elementary schools to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and introduce them to the idea of college. Students will have the opportunity to visit the UW-Eau Claire campus and become familiar with a university setting. The main focus of the day and the Blugold Beginnings program is to inspire students, especially underrepresented, low income or first generation students, and help them understand that a post-secondary education is important and attainable. We are looking forward to becoming a "college kid" for the day! `
4th Grade Musical
Dear parents and guardians of 4th grade students
You are invited to the 4th grade performance of the musical The Principal and the Pea. The musical will take place on Thursday May 4th and Friday May 5th at 11:45 in the Elementary music room and will last about 25 minutes. Inspired by the classic tale The Princess and the Pea, The Principal and the Pea takes place in a school where the much loved principal is retiring. The teachers can’t decide which new candidate to choose for their new principal, but why had no one asked the kids? The students devise their own taste test hoping to find the perfect fit “a grown-up who can’t stand peas”.
2nd Grade Field Trip to Cadott Citizen’s State Bank
Students have had presenters in class from the Cadott Citizen State Bank informing them about banking and ways to save, spend, and share money wisely. On Tuesday, April 25th, the boys and girls will be visiting the bank in Cadott to participate in “National Teach Students to Save Day.” Students will take a tour of the bank and listen to a story about saving money. We will be walking to the bank, and in case of rain we will ride a bus or reschedule for the following day.
