From the Desk of Mrs. Adelman
Can you believe we only have one week of school remaining for the 2021-22 school year? On Monday we will be promoting our 6th grade students, and on behalf of the entire Warwick community we wish our 6th graders good luck as they embark on their Middle School journey!
On Wednesday current K-5 students will "Move-Up" to the next grade level and meet the team of teachers on their future grade level. Teacher assignments will go live in Parent Portal on August 1st. I will send a reminder e-mail closer to August 1st.
We do have a few staff members moving to new positions in our building. Please see our tentative staffing assignments for the 2021-22 school year included below.
We will have one final newsletter next Friday!
Thank you for your continued support!
Mrs. Amy Adelman
As we prepare for the end of the school year, it’s time to collect our 1:1 devices for K-2 and 6th grade students. Students in grades 3-5 will be keeping their school devices at home over the summer. We are asking all K-2 and 6th grade students to bring all technology back to school by Monday, June 6th. If students need access to a device, they will be available for the last week of school.
What technology needs to be returned?
K-2: iPad, iPad charger (white brick (10w) and cable)
6th Grade: Laptop, charger, and pen
If there are any technical issues with the device, please be sure to place a help desk ticket so we can resolve the issue prior to summer.
To help make this process run smoothly, we are asking for the attached form to be completed for each student. A paper copy will be coming home with students. This will help us inventory all devices returned.
Summer Reading Challenge
This summer we are challenging all students to read with our Splash Into Summer Reading Challenge. We challenge all our Warwick Bears to keep the love of reading blooming while we are at home this summer. All students who return a summer reading log and summer reading bucket list will receive a participation gift. The class with the highest percentage of forms returned in K-2 and 3-5 will receive a Beach Reading Party.
Visit www.cbsd.org/register for more details, including necessary documents to gather in order to register your kindergarten students. PLEASE CONSIDER REGISTERING RIGHT AWAY IN ORDER TO AID THE DISTRICT IN ITS PLANNING FOR 2022-2023.
Warwick Kindergarten Kick-off
We will be having a Kindergarten Kick-off for our incoming kindergarten students and parents/guardians on Monday, June 13th. During the kick-off, your child(ren) will have the opportunity to visit the kindergarten classrooms, take a tour of Warwick, and then get to complete an activity with our two kindergarten teachers. During the classroom activity, parents/guardians will have the opportunity to meet with Mrs. Adelman, Mrs. Sleicher (our school counselor), our reading specialists, nurse, speech pathologist, and other Warwick staff members to learn a little bit about kindergarten.
Please follow this link to sign up for a 30-minute visit on June 13th. We hope you can make it!
Warwick Summer Construction - Road/Playground Closure
This summer at Warwick construction work will be completed to repair the side driveway pavement and blacktop. Beginning June 16th all traffic/parking will have to utilize our main parking lot. The front visitor lot will not be available. In addition, due to the active construction zone the playground equipment at Warwick will not be available beginning June 16th and lasting approximately 4 weeks. At the end of our construction, I will send a community e-mail to notify our community of the reopening of our front parking loop and playground.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.
