CELEBRATE ENGAGEMENT
Engagement Modeled at PD
Following an independent reflection and group share, Ms. Snelling adds information to class-wide rubric descriptors - which would later be used for scoring work samples.
Engagement Modeled at PD
Mr. Berry gathers everyone's attention before explaining roles: convince oneself, convince a friend, and convince a skeptic - and how those can be used to justify reasoning.
Engagement in Action
8th Science used roles and a mix of independent and group contributions to ensure engagement in gathering evidence for measuring speed.
Yours Truly, Technology Team
Are you having trouble getting to all of your groups to listen in on their academic conversations? We may have a solution that will work for you! Take a look at this two minute video that will show you how to collect formative data on your students using either iPhones or Chromebooks (Screencastify extension). You can use this data to look at who participates in the conversations and how; who uses academic language proficiently, is struggling with working well in a group, and/or who has reached mastery. How might using this tool support your planning? Enjoy!
National Counseling Week
A HUGE shout out to our amazing counselors! You are both truly talented and provide such a unique and special contribution to all of our kids and families. ROCK ON! You are loved!
