March is Social Worker Appreciation Month
Be the change that you want to see in the world” is a quote that has been attributed to Mahatma Gandhi. School Social Workers can be agents of change!
For those who do not feel heard – School Social Workers listen.
For those who have unmet needs – School Social Workers advocate.
For those who are marginalized – School Social Workers empower.
School Social Workers make positive change!
A special THANK YOU to Michelle and Christine for all you for the students at IAT!
Show them some love and appreciation this week for what they do all year long!
Music in Our Schools Month
March has officially been designated Music in Our Schools Month (MIOSM) by the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). It's an annual celebration highlighting the importance of music education for all children.
Educators, students, parents and the community participate in activities that examine and promote the benefits of high quality music education in schools.
This year's theme is "Music Makes Me ______."
We've all heard the numerous benefits of music education: improved communication skills, creativity, self-expression, leadership, confidence and many more. Helping to celebrate Music in Our Schools Month at your school is a great step toward showing your local, state and federal governments the impact music education can have on our students.
A special Shout Out goes to Mr. Simmons for encouraging our students to appreciate music, in forms of dance, song and more! Thank you for encouraging the students at IAT to express themselves through music.
Make sure you show your appreciation to Mr. Simmons!
