Maddox Nicholson stays focused and attentive in class and then earns minutes of playing with legos, his “choice activity!” Maddox is showing progress with his goals at school by working at becoming more focused and attentive!

6 Spud Growers FFA members received their Pennsylvania State Keystone Degree at the PA FFA Mid-Winter Convention, during the Pennsylvania Farm Show, on Monday, January 9. This is the highest award that a Pennsylvania FFA member can earn.
Congratulations to: Nash Delp, Gabriel Conyer, Sawyer Batterson, Laci Clay, Wyatt Daisley, and Acacia Greenman

Emma Tubbs & Lizzie Clay were selected to receive their FFA Jackets through the Pennsylvania FFA Alumni Jacket Scholarship Program. These students completed an application with essays describing their interests in agriculture education, goals in FFA, and the importance of the FFA jacket to the students themselves.
Spud Growers FFA Members
Spud Growers FFA members took a trip the Harrisburg/Hershey for the Pennsylvania FFA Mid-Winter Convention. Students toured Hershey's Chocolate World and learned about the process of making chocolate. They also spent time at the Pennsylvania Farm Show learning about agricultural industries in Pennsylvania.

Boyd Faulstick and Kayla Widmeier and all students have been showing more effort by writing longer, and stronger. They are editing and conferencing with me and listening to my advice and feedback to make improvements in their writing.

Aria Clark
Aria did a great job stating her dreams for herself and as always her handwriting is amazing.
Madden Milliron
At our morning free write center, Madden picked to write a letter to Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin. Even as a Dallas Cowboys fan, he is happy for a bills win.
Victor Nowicki
Victor has been working hard on letter formation and learning to write his letters as well as what they sound like! He is doing a fantastic job!

Teacher highlight
Karli Cowburn
Karli is a 9 year educator and has spent all nine years here in Coudersport working in both special and regular education classrooms. She loves her family and spending time outdoors. Our students at Coudersport always make her smile. Karli's favorite part of our community is that it has always been home for her.
Jordan Caldwell
Jordan teaches 7th and 8th grade ELA and has been teaching for 9 years, all here in Coudersport. She has a son in 4th grade and loves Harry Potter. Jordan thinks our students are the best in the region. They are kind, hard working, and fun to work with every day. They always keep her days interesting and fun, and she is thankful to have the opportunity to work with them each day. Jordan has been a member of the Coudersport community her entire life, and our small town always supports one another. She is glad to have grown up here, and is happy to be raising her son here.
Support Staff Highlight
Michelle Dawson
Michelle is our high school cafeteria manager and it is her first year at Coudersport. She loves to bake and decorate cakes and cookies. She used to run a small baking business out of her home. She has a son and a daughter and an almost two year old grandson who she thinks is the cutest in the world. She likes that our students at Coudersport have all been friendly and made her feel welcome. She grew up in Coudersport and graduated from the high school. She has loved being back home where there are so many great memories and familiar faces.
Courtney Anderson
Courtney works in our high school cafeteria and has worked here in Coudersport for 7 years. Her and her husband, Corey have been married for 20 years and they have 6 kids (Morgan, Corey Jr. aka Deuce, Cooper, Carter, Connelly, and Claire). They also have son in law named Brian. They live in Galeton and Courtney waitresses at the Plaza Cafe. She likes that our students bring entertainment to every aspect of life. Courtney likes the Coudersport community because of the conveniences in town and because she loves to visit people and can always find a conversation or smiling face behind every door.
French grades 8-12
The Dakar Rally is a 2-week extreme off-road race of French origins that takes place each January. There are a variety of vehicles, and it's very exciting! French students each picked a racer to follow through the course of the race.
ES Library - Krista Batterson
Fifth grade students created engaging reports about books read. Students walking down the hall stop to admire the illustrations and words written.
STEM Kindergarten - Dana Daisley
Students in Mr. Daisley's STEM class created holiday objects with Mr. Daisley's manipulatives.
Elementary PTSA
LITTLE FALCONS DO BIG THINGS! The Elementary School's PTSA is recognizing outstanding students we have in our school and are implementing a program called, "Little Falcons do BIG things." This includes a bulletin board in the lobby to display pictures, short bios and reasons students are selected. Monthly, they will be recognizing one student, per grade, from Pre-K through grade 6, and are requesting "Teacher/Staff Nominations!"
