JUN 4 Diploma Pick up & Photos - 8:30-12:30

Big picture

In order for Seniors to pick up their cap and gown and their four tickets for graduation at our graduation rehearsal on June 2nd, they must be "Cleared" with the Library and ASB. That means that all items are returned, any outstanding fines paid, and any balances owed on student accounts in the ASB are paid.

2021 Royal High School Graduation

Graduates will return to campus on Friday morning, June 4th between 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM. Students will be staggered by alpha in 15 minute increments to pick up their actual diploma (they only receive the diploma cover at graduation) and take pictures at three step-and-repeat locations. Because CDPH guidelines mandate that graduates and families immediately evacuate the campus after the graduation ceremony, this will also be an opportunity to say goodbye and take a photo with their favorite teachers & staff.
Big picture

Due to the pandemic, the distribution date will be sometime in July. It was an agreed-upon decision between the high schools that every effort would be made to include any events that happened on campus. Usually, the yearbook is completed in March and as many of you know, that is when things really got started. This allowed for sports and other events from Simi and Royal to be included in the book (Santa Su is doing an online version of a magazine type publication that will have an option to print, so they will have an earlier release date since Simi and Royal have very detailed books with a hardcover).

THE GOOD NEWS is now for the first time ever, these final senior year-end events will be included in the yearbook.

The actual date will be given later as that depends on restrictions and the abilities of the publishing plant that makes our yearbook.

Thanks for your continued patience and we are excited that we will be able to add something new to this yearbook considering the circumstances. A BIG shout out to our yearbook class and advisor, Mr. Lev!

Love Letter From Your Administration

Words cannot express the deep admiration and respect we feel for this remarkable Class of '21! Never in a million years could we imagine having a group of students face the reality of a senior year completely opposite from the one we had all envisioned for them. None of us can truly understand and feel what they have been and are experiencing, but we can all stand back and learn from them. For a Class that is deserving of so much more, this group of teenagers is absent of an attitude of entitlement. How refreshing! We have been impressed at the grace and determination they have shown. Time and time again, as dates have moved, restrictions have lessened and then tightened again, these students have remained committed to forging their path and leaving a legacy behind. We have seen amazing leadership skills develop as they've led clubs, found alternate methods to serve, make an impact through CSI projects, change the life of a freshman through Link Crew, demonstrate commitment and dedication to their sports and arts, and strive for academic excellence. Thank you, Class of '21 for the lesson we've learned from YOU - that no matter what obstacles life throws in our path, at the end of the day, we want to be able to say, "We're Still Standing, Too!"
