We are so excited to be entering the last quarter of the school year! We plan to end the school year strong with teaching and learning in the classroom, and a focus on state testing in grades 3rd-5th, STAR testing, and grade level placement testing. With testing comes lots of celebrations and excitement as we collect data, win prizes, and plan for the future! As we are planning for the 2023-24 school year, we are thrilled to share that we are full in all grades 1st-5th for the upcoming school year! We do still have limited space available in kindergarten, so if you know of any families and or friends with kindergarten-age children, send them our way! We love to grow our RPA community with new families from across Oregon! THANK YOU to all our families who were able to join us at Nadaka Park on Earth Day for cleanup and fun games; we had a great turn out and had lots of fun! Next week we will be welcoming the National Institute of Direct Instruction (NIFDI) to our campus to show off the academic progress of our amazing RPA scholars and share with them the great things our RPA community has accomplished in the past few years!

This month will be filled with fun and hard work!!! We have a field trip to North Clackamas Land Lab (Farm) on May 16th and The Oregon Zoo on May 30th! Please make sure you have your permission slips turned in so your child will be able to attend! Thank you! We are busy working on letter names/sounds and blending them to make words! Please practice with your child by having them tell you the names of the letters and the sounds they make in books, on signs, packages, mail, anywhere there are letters!! We are also learning about money this month! Ask your child to tell you the names of coins! With 30 days of Kindergarten to go, we need to work together to make sure your kiddos are ready for 1st grade!

Woohoo, we made it to May and the nice weather is among us! This last month we had a fun visit from Franz Bakery. Students also got to visit The Hope Center for a nice work out. Students have been making a lot of progress this quarter and working hard. Lets finish the school year out on a high before we enter into 3rd grade!

Are you sure this month is over? Feels like we just started! This month definitely flew by really fast! This next month, we will be focusing on state testing. So please make sure you child gets great sleep and eats breakfast every morning because it will help them perform their best. We are also having our final field trip at the end of the month cruising around the Willamette River on a jet boat. Please make sure you have filled out those waiver forms and have told your teacher that you have done that. Go 4th grade team!
