Motto

The meaning of life is to fill life with meaning as a wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend.

Quote

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today's a gift. That's why it's called the "present"!

Me in a Nutshell

Where to begin... First and foremost, I owe everything I have to God and my parents who have guided me through the adversities and joys of life. I am blessed with a husband who has supported me through thick and thin; three loving daughters, Belinda, Brenda, and Kelly; two beautiful grandchildren, Kimberly and Cody; and two amazing son-in-laws, Randall and Lizardo.

As far as my professional careers, I also have been blessed because I have a business background as well as an educator one. Working in the business world gave me insights and experiences that molded me into a well-rounded individual. As an educator, I have been able to spread my knowledge and love for literature to both middle school, high school, and college students. A famous quote that sums up why I continue to teach is " In the end, it won't matter how may breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away." Day in and day out, I see all those eager and bright eyes staring at me absorbing everything and later taking that knowledge and spreading their wings into their own careers. This alone takes my breath away.

My Personal Symbol

My personal symbol is an apple because my students are "the apple of my eye" and I the apple that is able to transmit knowledge Just as an apple is the symbol of knowledge mainly due to the common belief that it was an apple that Eve pulled from the forbidden tree of knowledge to give to Adam. Being able to transmit this knowledge to my students has been my driving force for getting up every morning and attempting to "Change the world one child at a time "

The Future

In the future I hope to see my grandchildren graduate college and to continue being the best wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend that I possibly can.
