Patriot Pulse
November 8th Edition
Hello Grissom Families,
The second quarter of school is underway! Teachers have finalized first quarter grades, and they will be officially posted on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal this Friday, November 10th.
Parent Teacher Conferences are quickly approaching on November 20th and 21st. Spots are filling up quickly. To schedule a conference with one of your child's teachers, please check available times using the provided sign-up links found in this newsletter.
This month, our focus in weekly advisory lessons is on citizenship and exploring the rights and responsibilities of a citizen. Students have discussed how to demonstrate the traits of a good citizen in order to positively influence their school and community.
Much is happening this month at GMS...
Our annual Veteran's Day assembly is scheduled for this Thursday during the school day. Our Student Council members have diligently prepared a meaningful event to honor those who have served our armed forces. We look forward to welcoming our very special guests - family members of students who have served in the armed forces.
One excellent opportunity to show good citizenship is by participating in our annual canned food drive, sponsored by NJHS. Details about the drive are provided below.
Additionally in November, we have a fall dance, our annual Book Fair, girls basketball and boys volleyball games, and more!
Remember, students are not in attendance the week of November 20th - 24th. We hope you enjoy a Happy Thanksgiving with your loved ones.
With warm regards,
Mr. Michael Rumbaugh - Principal
