THANK YOU!
Lynn Bump, Rita Kangas, Caroline Long, Melissa McLaughlin, Kelly Jo Plante, Michael Cunningham, Kelley Moree, Kristina Burt, Cheryle Gelfand and Erica Kaiser and for having me in your classroom to work with your kiddos this week!
Technology Tidbits
The process to remove the projectors and sound bars from the classrooms will begin soon. Please bring me your sound bar remote. If I am not in my office there is a blue basket with a list next to it on my desk. Please highlight your name.
https://beinternetawesome.withgoogle.com This is really good for part of our internet safety requirements. It covers all kinds of stuff from email phishing to secure passwords and sharing personal info online. Be Internet Awesome is a multifaceted program that includes a fun and free web-based game called Interland and an educational curriculum to teach kids how to be safe and responsible explorers of the online world.
Reminder: make sure you are supervising students when they are using technology. The entire building is often utilized as instructional space. Please be mindful of students working on technology in the common areas to make sure they are using and handling the technology tools appropriately. Please refrain from allowing students to sit under tables or in areas of your room where the screen is not visible to the teacher. We are modeling appropriate use of technology by ensuring this supervision.
If you have any used/empty ink cartridges from home there is a box in the office in front of Craig's desk. The cartridges are recycled and this allows Midway to and some money back for the school. Thank you.
