A Note from Mrs. Williams
There is not much new this week, and I'll take that as a good thing. Sometimes, no news is good news. :) It's been a great week here at Schluter, and I am so thankful that I get to be a part of a wonderful and positive school culture and community.
Grandparent's Day is coming up, and although we are not able to host our typical events due to COVID, we want our grandparents to know how much we appreciate their love and support! See the link below for ways our grandparents can show their support of Schluter!
Each day, I am monitoring our COVID numbers, and our students and staff are doing a great job following our protocols. Please keep self-screening, and do not send your child to school when they are sick. We are hoping to prevent any type of outbreak, and we need your help to do that. Linked below is our NISD COVID information, including our Health & Safety Protocols, for your review.
Have a wonderful weekend, and I hope you stay safe and well!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Williams
Updated Bus Route Information Available
As with the start of all school years in our fast-growth district, transportation was a challenge that will improve in the coming days. This year, more than 3,400 new bus riders joined already-completed bus routes in the few days since route information was emailed to families. With this challenge in mind, the district transportation department is in the process of adding these students and more to the existing routes and rerouting when needed. As with previous school years, this work will continue for the first week or two of school.
Route information will continue to be added to the district’s online route system, the MyView tracking app (available on the iOS App Store and Google Play), and in the Home Access Center. Thank you for your understanding as our transportation staff work diligently to meet the needs of all families.

A Message from Food Services
Free Meal Program Extended for Elementary, Middle Schools
All Northwest ISD students in elementary and middle school will continue receive free breakfast and lunch meals during the 2021-2022 school year! While students in high school will not take part in the same program, they can continue to apply for free or reduced-price meals.
Though meals are free to all elementary and middle school students, we strongly encourage families to continue to apply for the free and reduced-price meal program, as there are further benefits that can help reduce financial hardship. An accurate count of students in need also helps provide the appropriate programs at schools. Anyone who previously applied for the free or reduced-price meal program or believes they may now qualify based on their financial circumstances should still apply. This will also ensure these students receive free or reduced-cost meals for at least the first 30 days of the 2022-2023 school year.
