The People
Brazil has a population of over 200 million people with an official language of Portuguese. It has the largest Catholic community in the world. Most people in Brazil identify themselves as being Roman Catholic with a minority belonging to other Christian denominations.Family is very important in Brazilian society as well as national unity.
Geography & Climate
Brazil is 3,287,612 square miles and is located in Northern South America bordering the Atlantic Ocean.It is home to much of the Amazon Rainforest. Brazil's location near the equator is the reason for its tropical climate. This enables Brazil to grow fruits and vegetables almost all year.
Agriculture
Brazil is one of the world's largest producers of bananas, coffee, sugar, oranges and soybeans. It is also 2nd largest world producer of corn, and the world's 6th largest producer of cocoa.
