Mission Statement
The Tri-Lakes Humane Society is a local non-profit organization that provides shelter for lost, abandoned, and unwanted animals while actively seeking loving, permanent homes for them. We give every animal who comes to us as much time as funding and space allow to find a new home. We advocate the humane treatment of all animals, and each animal adopted from our Society is spayed or neutered according to state law. We encourage spaying and neutering of all domestic animals through educational programs within the community, and we encourage other opportunities for interaction between The Humane Society, its animals and the community.
35th Anniversary Celebration
Thank you to everyone who contributed to our 35th Anniversary Celebration with financial gifts. We received over $1800! We can't do what we do for animals without your help! Thank you!
Meet Smokey!
Smokey - male DOB 8-16-2019. This handsome guy has the most unique coloring. He has a light gray undercoat below his black fur. So unique. He is just wonderful, likes to give head butts and nuzzles. He welcomes all attention. He is FIV positive which means he can live a long healthy life but should be an inside cat and an only cat or live in a home with other FIV cats. You'll be hard pressed to find a better cat. As a long term resident, his adoption fee is discounted to $42.50!
Meet Ping!
Ping - male DOB 3-1-2021. Ping and his 4 litter mates came from a hoarding situation. He has gotten better, but is still a pretty shy guy. He does not do well with other cats. We are sure with some patience, you'll become his best friend. As a long term resident, his adoption fee is discounted to $42.50!
Meet Yoshi!
Yoshi - female DOB 1-3-2017. This beautiful calico likes to be petted but being picked up is not her thing. Her owners moved and couldn't bring her. She seems to prefer a quieter home so come check out this great girl.
Elvira
Elvira - female Foxhound/Shepherd mix DOB 6-21-2021. She was found as a stray with 3 other pups. Elvira loves to play in the yard but she is a bit timid with new people. It will take her a bit of time to warm up. Does your family have room for this cutie.
Hutch
Hutch - male old Boxer mix. DOB 12-17-2020 Hew was owner relinquished. This guy is so wonderful. He doesn't like cats and is picky about his dog friends. He is good with kids but doesn't share his food. He is very observant and has the most beautiful blue eyes.
Winchester
Winchester - male Old English Sheepdog DOB 4-4-2014. This guys is sweet and protective. He doesn't really like small children but teenagers should be okay. He is an enthusiastic eater but besides that he is pretty laid back. He has been an indoor dog most of his life and would prefer to keep it that way. Just lounging with his family is his cup of tea.
