Tom Hansen Memorial Scholarship
The Tom Hansen Memorial 4-H Scholarship has been set up by his family to honor Tom's memory and help those that share the same passion that Tom had for showing livestock.
Scholarship Amount: 2 $500.00 Scholarships
Criteria: You must be a graduating Senior who has exhibited either goats, swine, sheep, or beef in Lincoln or Frontier County 4-H Clubs. Applicants DO NOT need to pursue a degree in agriculture.
Please attach the following: A resume or list of-other extracurricular activities with your essay. Also include a reference letter from a non-family member.

2023 Frontier County Sharp Shooters Mandatory Meeting
Looking for a fun, rewarding, and adventurous summer job? Nebraska State 4-H Camp is hiring for the 2023 summer season! Learn more and apply at 4h.unl.edu/camps-jobs.
Summer Program Assistants must be 16-18 years of age and attend a LIT (Leaders in Training) camp session the summer they are interested in working. Program Assistants are paid a stipend and must complete a formal application process.
Jr. Counselors must be 14-18 years of age, and attend a Leaders in Training camp session the summer they are interested in serving as a Jr. Counselor. Jr. Counselor is a volunteer role, and there is no formal application process for the position.

Intro to Basic Horse Management
It is back again! Register for our Intro. to Basic Horse Management!
This workshop is open to all who are interested in learning more about horses, their health, nutrition, body parts, and more! Expand on your horse knowledge and ask questions! This introductory virtual horse clinic will be Wednesdays during the Month of May. Dates include May 3, 10, 17, & 24 at 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. CT
New 2023 topics include:
Equine First Aid
Managing and Minimizing Vices
Biosecurity
Bits
Interactive Kits will include, mini equine first aid kit, printed material, & beginning horsemanship online course codes.
Deadline to sign up to receive kits by the start of the workshop is April 17th. You may still sign up to participate all the way up to April 24th but we can only guarantee arrival of your kit prior to the start date if signed up by the 17 of April.
Cost to participate in this workshop: $50
