Dear Parents,

Fall has arrived and hopefully cooler weather will follow. We continue to be so proud of our students, staff, and families as we all navigate this challenging time together. If you need support, please see the contact information listed below for counselors and administration and reach out to us.

Remember that attendance is important. Teachers are providing valuable instruction during the online time. Please know that we are required and will reach out to you if your child is not attending.

Have a wonderful week!

Common Sense Media and What Parents Need to Know

Junior high aged students are accessing a lot of online media, especially now that we are doing distance learning. Check out this link to a page from Common Sense Media to explore the answers to questions you may have about your child's online world.

There is information that answers the following questions:

Does social media cause depression?

Is it ok for my kid to start her own YouTube channel?

How can I use media to teach my kid empathy?

How much screen time is ok for my kid?

...and many more questions.

Healthy Lobo Challenge by ASB

ASB will be hosting a “Healthy Lobo Challenge!” What is the Healthy Lobo Challenge? It's an event where you show off your healthy living! You may ask why? Well, quarantine has gotten us in some bad habits. Such as not getting enough exercise and eating junk food 24/7. The event will begin October 1st and end on the 31st! The 5th-9th will highlight healthy eating! The 12th-16th will highlight exercising! The 19th-23rd will highlight self- care! Finally, the 26th-30th will highlight all three! Encourage your child to show off their healthy living. They can can DM ASB a photo and hashtag #healthylobochallenge. They can also message ASB on the ASB Google Classroom.
