ACE’s Indiana affiliate gives students from Walker Career Center a chance to learn about the wide variety of opportunities available through careers in architecture, engineering and construction.
Mentored by local building industry professionals, student teams engage in a program that includes field trips, visits to professional firms and hands-on projects that simulate real-world situations. As a result, students get a practical look at the potential offered by a career in the building industry.
They also tour major construction sites to explore the wide range of professional skills needed in today’s dynamic building industry. Through these experiences, many students make valuable contacts that can help them along their personal educational and career paths.
44th Annual ETE Awards Program
Last night, the Engineering and Technical Education Department was able to keep a long standing tradition alive by hosting the 44th Annual ETE Awards Program through a virtual format. The ETE Department selects an outstanding student from all of their courses and recognizes these individuals during the celebration, in addition to having their name added to the Wall of Excellence just outside of Industrial Drive. Congratulations to all of our amazing award winners and thank you to all of the staff and family members that were able to participate in the celebration.
Special congratulations to the 2021 Gene Crosier Outstanding Student Award winner, Justin Wooldridge.
