Welcome Back to School!
September/October 2021
Welcome Back to School!
On September 7, 2021, we welcomed students back into our classrooms for in-person full-time learning. It was so exciting to see students step off school buses, walk the hallways, and greet each other on their first day of school. With the start of the new school year comes the excitement of new beginnings. Instruction and learning are well under way, our athletic fields are humming with activity, the visual and performing arts are preparing for fall and holiday performances, students are participating in health and PE classes, and most importantly, our students are interacting with their teachers and socializing with their peers. I am so excited for this much-needed and greatly anticipated return to NORMALCY!
We are all too familiar with the impact of this global pandemic and the disruptive nature it has had on our lives, especially for our students and their education. There is no doubt that COVID-19 has forced us to think differently about how we educate our students and while we have learned many lessons about how we can do school remotely, one thing we know for certain is the value and importance of in-person learning and instruction. We now turn our attention to restoring a sense of normalcy for our students by engaging them in robust learning experiences and in day-to-day routines that encourage socialization and in-person interaction. To that end, our teachers, administrators, and support staff are committed to the work that is ahead of us so we can put the challenges of the pandemic behind us.
I am grateful and appreciative to all of you -- our students, families, teachers, administrators, support staff, and Board of Education Members -- for your continued support of the Lacey Township School District.
Let's have an outstanding school year!

A Special 9/11 Tribute
We Will Never Forget
Nineteen years ago, Marie Krieger made these amazing quilts as a tribute to the precious lives lost on 9/11. Each square was made by Forked River School families and staff and delivered to Marie who made the quilts. To this day they hang proudly in the halls of the Forked River School. Thank you Marie!
