Strep A and Scarlet Fever

You will have seen in the news that there has been an escalation in cases of Strep A and Scarlet Fever locally. Please be aware of the symptoms and if you have concerns contact your GP.

Christmas Concert - thank you.

Thank you to everyone who took part in and attended the Christmas Concert yesterday. It was lovely to see so many children enjoying music and having the opportunity to perform. Thanks especially go to Mrs Stevens who organised the event.

Things to remember next week!

Mon 10.30am - Christingle in Church for Reception, Y1, Y2 & Y6 - parents welcome.

Weds - Christmas dinner and wear a Christmas jumper/top with school uniform.

Weds 5pm - PTA Movie Night - tickets on ParentPay.

Thurs 9.30am - Lessons & Carols in Church for Y3 to Y6 - parents welcome.

Thurs - Class parties, non uniform party clothes, bring a box/plate of party food (extra to lunch)

Fri 2.30pm - Christmas Singalong, parents welcome. Don't forget your Christmas hat!

Fri - Break up

Tues 3rd Jan - training day, school closed to pupils

Weds 4th Jan - Pupils return to school.

Poppy Appeal

Thank you to everyone who donated to the poppy appeal this year. We raised £372.67!

PTA Movie Night 14.12.22

PTA have arranged a movie night for 14th December. Adult tickets £2, children's tickets £4, (child ticket includes pizza and a drink)

Tickets are available on ParentPay. Please enter any dietary needs into the notes section when purchasing the tickets.

PTA 100 Club

The PTA are hoping to start a ‘100 Club’ in January. This can be purchased through ParentPay and further details will be available soon.

Christingle Monday 12th December.

The Christingle service will take place in church on Monday 12th December, but the start time has had to be put back to 10.30am

Free Singing Sessions

Calling all singers!


Selby Music Centre is delighted to have appointed Rachel MacKenzie as our

new choir leader. Rachel has experience of leading children’s choirs in a couple

of York primary schools, in addition to directing adult choirs, including at Aviva

in York! We would like to invite your child to take part in some free singing sessions on

Saturdays from November 19th until 10 th December. There will be a short

informal performance on the morning of December 10th at 11am, along with

our music centre folk, strings and guitar ensembles.


Sessions take place at Selby High School from 11.05 – 12.15. Please come a few minutes earlier to buy a treat from our tuck shop (choose a free treat on your first visit!), if you would like to. The choir will continue in the spring term starting on January 7 th . We will also be offering free taster sessions for newcomers to all ensembles from January 7th .
