November FFA Meeting

Tuesday, November 6th

6:00 PM

PSHS Ag Classrooms (students)

PSHS Library (parents)

*Thanksgiving dinner will be served. The Booster Club will provide ham & turkey. Families will sign up for side dishes, drinks, & desserts.

*All students participating in the Collin County Show, San Antonio, San Angelo, & Houston Shows will be paying show entry fees. Parents are required to attend. Payment must be made in full.

Homecoming Parade

All FFA members are welcome to participate in our homecoming float!

Wednesday 11/7

Arrive no later than 5:30 PM - our float will be a PISD truck & a SUPER long black trailer

Clothing - FFA tshirt or PSHS spiritwear


Begins - 2701 Parkhaven

corner of Parkhaven & Roundrock (parking lot of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints across from Davis Elementary)

Ends - PSHS Wildcat Gym

*Parents should pick up students from gym.

When parade ends at PSHS, there will be a pep rally.

Concession Stand

Friday, November 9th

Arrive no later than 6:30 PM

Home side

*There is no room for backpacks / purses while working.

We are in need of students & parents to volunteer to work the concession stand for this game. Please sign up below if you are able to help.

District 7 Banquet

Tuesday, December 4

5:30 PM

Haggard Party Barn

Cost: $10 / student

Official dress required

Christmas Cops: Gift Drive

Once again we are joining with the Heritage Farmstead Museum to help out Plano children in need. See the form below for more information regarding the Plano Police Association's annual Christmas Cops gift drive.

Please sign up below & bring donations to your ag classroom by Monday, December 3rd.


Important Dates

Nov. 6th - Point Deadline

Nov. 8th – District 7 Contest – Plano West – 5 PM (1st & 2nd place advance to Area)

Nov. 14th – Area V Contest – Bells High School – (All day) (1st & 2nd place advance to State)

Nov. 29th – Dec. 1st – State Contest – Sam Houston State University

District 7 Contest

Students will attend school the entire day

Students / parents are responsible for providing transportation to and from the contest. Plano to arrive in the Plano West cafeteria no later than 5:00 PM in your best looking OD (or skills attire).

Contests begin promptly at 5:30 PM.

Dinner will be provided.

Students will be released after all team results have been announced. Bring homework & a phone charger to keep yourself occupied.


FFA members that are planning to be very actively involved should consider ordering an FFA jacket and scarf (females) or tie (males). Students will wear official dress to the following events:

-National FFA Convention

-Texas FFA State Convention

-District & Area meetings / banquets / conventions

-Leadership Development Event (LDEs) contests

-End of the Year Plano FFA Banquet
