At Cherokee we believe that clear, consistent communication is key for a positive home/school partnership. Paw's Press Parent Newsletters are sent out on a regular basis (usually once per week). The newsletters include important dates, helpful tips and updates on all of the wonderful things happening at Cherokee. The first Paw's Press Parent Newsletter of the school year is usually sent out in mid-August. The Paw's Press Parent Newsletters are sent out by email (SchoolMessenger) and are also posted on the Cherokee Facebook page (see below).

Additionally, the Paw's Press Parent Newsletters for the 2023-2024 school year will be added to this link each week. Important back to school information is also on this link at this time. More information will be added in August and as the year progresses.

Thank you in advance for your generosity!

• Save the date for our Sneak Peek & Curriculum Night during the evening of August 29th.
• Class placements will be sent out via email prior this event. Please be patient as last minute enrollment and staffing changes often require us to send the placements out quite close to this deadline.
• Families will have a chance to tour the school and attend curriculum night sessions for their children.
• Our theme for the 2023-2024 school year is superheroes!
• PTO will provide selfie stations.
• PTO will provide popsicle treats (upon exiting the building).
• You only need to attend one Curriculum Night session for each of your children. Resources will be provided after Curriculum Night (this is especially helpful for those with more than two children or those who can't attend).

• Families will be notified by email regarding their child's placement. At the very latest, placements will be sent out on the day of Sneak Peek.

• Our first day of school for the 2023-2024 school year is Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
• It will be a half day of school.

• Students may enter the building at 8:50 AM when the music starts.
• School begins at 8:55 AM.

• At Cherokee we have a staggered dismissal for safety purposes.
• 11:40 AM - SACC, Service Squad and Safeties
• 11:44 AM - Walkers and Parent Pick Up
• 11:48 AM - Bussers
• 11:50 - School Fully Dismissed
