Science Fair Hypothesis Due Wednesday
Your students have some fantastic questions they will be investigating, and I cannot wait to see the final results. Their hypothesis is due on Wednesday, October 14th.
Math - Unit 3
This week, we are starting our multiplication unit. In this unit, students are asked to multiply up to 4 digit numbers by 1 digit, and 2 digit by 2 digit numbers, through different methods. We will begin by learning to multiply using partial products (the box method), and will move into the standard algorithm next week. They will be solving word problems with and without rounding and strip diagrams. Because we are starting a new unit, I am not assigning math homework this week, but they will have the opportunity to complete bonus homework after we have been multiplying in class for a few days. Here are some videos from my YouTube channel that go along with Unit 3.
