Shout-outs for November:
Mrs. Bowman- helping out another teacher and offering to do so again in the future.
4th and 5th grade classes- helping Mrs. Stargardt clean up at lunch.
Ms. Lawson- helping out a teacher with a tech issue.
Palmer Morgan- helping a friend pick up her pencils when she dropped them.
Mrs. Conner- thinking about others when getting sweet treats.
Jackson Plummer- Helping put the library chairs down for afternoon dismissal.
Eliza Hicks- for doing the right thing by telling a teacher about a situation at recess.
Mrs. Cox- for being a good principal. (Thank you!)
Gabriel Perdue- helping a friend who had lost his money.
Mrs. Brown- for always repeating information if students are talking and it is hard to hear.
Mr. Yarboro- thank you for the awesome Christmas Party! (2 Shout-outs for this)
Mrs. Brown- for making us laugh!
Ally Plummer, Sadie Vernon, Ellie Bohannon, Braelyn Gibson, Theodore Mitchell, Buckey Morris, and Paxton Neal- helping clean up in the cafeteria and doing a great job!
Those are wonderful examples of the kind, generous, and shining examples taking place at LAWES! Thank you all.

Recent Events
On November 17, we had an outstanding Veteran's Program. Thank you to Mr. Andrew Young for preparing our students for this event. They did an amazing job! Thank you, also, to Mrs. Hall for helping Mr. Young with this program. Thanks to the families, especially the veterans, who joined us and to Mr. Cox, our guest speaker and Navy Veteran.
On November 30, we had our monthly PBIS Club Day. Our staff does a wonderful job of planning and preparing to give students these opportunities to encourage positive behavior. This time, students had a choice of Cooking Club, Sports Club, Lego Building Club, Rubik's Cube and Game Club, Marketing Club, and Drum Club!

Wear your favorite Christmas shirt to celebrate the spirit of the season!
**All dress up days have to have school appropriate clothing.**

Be a tree topper! Wear a Christmas hat, headband, or something else festive that could top a tree.
December 14- “Candy Cane Christmas”
Dress like a candy cane! Wear red, white, or a combo of both!
December 14- SIT Meeting 2:30 PM- Media Center- please join us!
December 15- “All I Want For Christmas Is You!”
Dress like a present in ribbons, Christmas bows, wrapping paper, bright and shiny clothes, or gift bags
December 16- “Winter Wonderland”
Dress in flannel, plaid, or other warm clothes
December 19- “Mele Kalikimaka” Monday
Dress as if we were having Christmas in Hawaii! Wear your tropical shirts, sunglasses, and warm weather gear!
December 20- “Let it Snow!”
Wear your warm Christmas socks, gloves, hats, or slippers to stay warm this holiday season.

December 21- “Rocking Around the Christmas Tree”
Christmas Class Color Challenge: Let’s Dress in the Colors of Christmas Trees!
