Memorial Update
September 5, 2023
September 5, 2023
Well, we waited all summer for summer weather, and now that school has begun it is here. Our second and third floor classrooms get a bit warm on these high temperature and humidity days, so please be sure that your children are dressing in lightweight fabrics and bringing water bottles with them to school.
We had a wonderful first few days of school, and it is amazing how quickly everyone has settled back in to our school routines. We are excited to welcome our preschool students back today, making our entire school here for the first time this year. We hope that your children came home from school last week excitedly anticipating what this school year will bring. There were many smiles in the hallways and classrooms and we look forward to the year ahead.
A few reminders to help our daily routines go as smoothly as possible.
1. Please make note that we will not be dismissing anyone after 2:45pm from the main office. If you arrive after 2:45pm, you will be directed to head to the parent pick up line.
2. Please be sure that everyone who is picking your child up from school knows and understands the looping line procedures. The directions can be found below this message. It is important that all families have a sign with your child's first and last name visible for the person on duty to read.
3. We ask for everyone's patience in the looping line. We are having our preschool families drop off and pick up in the line this year. Preschoolers are not going to be as nimble getting in and out of their cars, and we ask that everyone remains in line until the car in front of you moves.
4. The police and fire departments will be enforcing the their request to not line up more than 15 minutes prior to arrival and dismissal. Please avoid coming early.
5. If your child is going to be absent, please call the school and let us know. This saves all of your emergency contacts from receiving a call if we cannot locate your child.
We want you to know that if you have any questions, concerns, or simply have something to share with us, you can call the school any time, or you may email Lauren or Wendy to speak with us directly.
Have a wonderful week!
Warmly,
Wendy and Lauren

Please consider participating in this project, it is running until September 11, 2023!
