GES Family Update
9.18.23
Mr. Harris' Thoughts
I was thinking this past weekend about why we are here at GES and this occurred to me.
Our mission is "Our Community Ensures Every Student Learns at the Highest Level.", but we are here to provide a safe environment for 5 to 10 year old children to learn how to read, how to compute and understand Math, and to behave in a way that meets social expectations that we have at school.
We are doing our best to create learning opportunities that push children into unknown learning where it is safe to make mistakes and to learn from those mistakes. The staff at GES is the best and I know how hard they are working for your children to meet our mission and to have a safe environment for learning.
Arrival and Dismissal Updates
Arrival -
Please remember that we do not have supervision on the playground until 7:30.
Dismissal -
Things have started very smoothly for dismissal! we are averaging between 89 and 114 cars each day after school. Most days we finish in less that 14 minutes! This is because of your communication, flexibility and understanding... THANK YOU!
We have an Early Release day on September 27th. There will be many new and different adults in the line picking up and please remind them that the system is working very well and they just need to follow the directions of staff and allow a little extra time. Also, please make sure your child knows the early release plan if it is different from other days.
