Transition Time
In the next 2 weeks, I will be transitioning from my role as the Executive Director of the Lincoln/Madison Feeder Pattern. As you all know, I truly have a heart for the students in this feeder pattern and am honored to have had the opportunity to serve. It has been a blessing to work alongside the awesome principals in this feeder, and I can not tell you have much I admire each of you for your courage, commitment and compassion. I'm not sure if we could ever pay you for your value, but just know that you are appreciated. Please understand that this is not "good bye" but "see you around." I am always just a phone call away.
Together, we are game changers for our students, schools and communities. I believe that we have everything that we need to win; in fact we are already victorious. I believe that each of our schools will meet standard with an increase in distinctions. I urge you to believe with me.
Graduation Ceremonies this Week!
Please join us this week for our high school graduations. There is nothing more gratifying as an educator than to see a student who started out in our elementary school to graduate from our high school prepared for college, career or the military. It is most appropriate to invite our entire feeder pattern of principals to join us in this grand celebration. We hope to see you there!

Madison Collegiate Academy "Signing Day" a Success
Over 100 parents and students attended the "Signing Day" event for the Madison Collegiate Academy last week. Students took part in a commitment ceremony, learned more about the expectations of the academy and had an opportunity to tour information booths. Our students are now officially enrolled in college and are well on their way!

Summer Learning
SSI, Summer Readiness and EOC Test Prep begin Monday, June 6, 2016. Principals please ensure that you read the information-packed email that was sent to you last week which included information regarding the new ap for taking attendance as well as the information needed asap to ensure your students have food next week. Resources for teachers are provided at the link below Summer Central and paper for copies should have been delivered on this past Friday. If you have not submitted your anticipated enrollment for food services, please submit asap HERE . Transportation information can be found here www.dallasisd.org/summerlearning. If you have an AP assisting you with this, please ensure that they are receiving this information and taking action. High schools should already have a plan in place to ensure that as many students as possible attend school this summer since these scores count in your accountability and can only help your scores.
Parents should already know if their child is attending summer school, and sample letters can be found here Toolkit . If you have questions, please email the summer school office at summerlearning@dallasisd.org.
