You get concussions because of a hard hit, fall, or shake to the head, which causes the brain to bounce inside you head. In turn can cause a bruse to your brain, brain bleeding. You dont have to pass out to have a concussion. Some people have signs such as passing out or forgetting what happened before the accidentand can take a few weeks to recover. Other people dont show signs and can only take a few hours to recover. Someother signs of a concussion are
Not thinking clearly, feeling slowed down, not being able to concentrate, not being able to remember new information, headache, fuzzy or blurry vision, nausea and throwing up, dizziness, sensitivity to light or noise, balance problems, feeling tired or having no energy, easily upset or angered, sad, nervous or anxious, and more emotional.

Anyone who gets a concussion needs to go to the hospital but sometimes the hospital will let you go home and just have someone watch you or you might have to stay at the hospital for further watching. The people who go home need to be watched closely for signs of the concussion not going away.
