HIGH SCHOOL NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY INDUCTS NEW MEMBERS
The Parke Heritage High School National Honor Society held its induction of new members on Friday, March 15 in the high school gym.
Twenty-eight students were inducted as new members. They were selected based upon scholarship, service, leadership and character. These areas are the basis for all National Honor Society selections.
Newly-inducted National Honor Society members include front- Macy Millspaugh, Kara Hayes, Anna Kiefner, Ericka Clodfelter, Davanda Brown, Cassandra Clark and Jordyn Dowd; second row- Austin Petrilla, Oakley Smith, Taylor Kelly, Jillian Gregg, Alexa Blackwell, Abigail Nicholas and Ammalee McCall; third row- Emma Swaim, Jacob Ramsay, Olivia Swinehart, Noelanie Loomis, Gillian Jeffers, Bailey Bollinger and Hanna Beirman; back- Dylan Whitmer, Trevor Thompson, Louis Monik, Madison Millspaugh, Cheyenne Tate, Lindsay Whitlow and Kristan Ward.
HS WINTER ATHLETES HONORED
The Parke Heritage High School Winter Sports Honors Night was held Monday, March 18 in the cafetorium. Athletes from the winter sports of cheerleading, wrestling, girls basketball and boys basketball were recognized.
Coach Amy McAlister introduced the members of the cheer squad. Earning awards were Ellen Rohr- Scholar Athlete, Bree McGrannahan- Most Improved, Gavin Johnston- Newcomer Award, Natalie Jones- Spirit Award and Mental Attitude- Katie Snodgrass.
The wrestling team members were recognized by Coach Tyler Thornton. Award winners included Ben Blacketer- Most Improved and All-Conference, Seth Edington- Pins Award and Wins Award, Max Sliz- Take Down Award and Cole Jones- Leadership Award.
For girls basketball, special awards were presented to Taylor Dugger- Free Throw Percentage, Kylen McMullen- Free Throw Percentage, Defensive Award and All-Conference; Grace Ramsay- Rebound Award, Macy Millspaugh- Most Improved Award, Delaney Butler- Lady Wolf Award. The team was coached by Bob Kyle.
Senior achievement awards of $100 scholarships were presented to Delaney Butler, Taylor Dugger, Kylen McMullen, Mikayla Ricketts, Abby Stowe and Rebecca Snodgrass. These awards were presented by the Lady Wolves Booster Club.
Boys basketball senior awards were presented by Coach Rich Schelsky to Nathaniel McMichael, Jack Gooch, Braden Hartman, Ben Lynk and Landon Newnum. Connor Davis and Landon Newnum were recognized for being named All-Conference.
The banquet was sponsored by the Parke Heritage Booster Club. The meal was prepared and served by Mrs. Amber White’s Culinary Arts class.

MS STUDENT COUNCIL DONATES TO RITZ
Members of the Parke Heritage Middle School Student Council will be donating $575 to the Ritz Theater to assist with the repair of its marquee sign.
The student council held penny wars and hat day fundraisers to raise the monetary amount.
Student council members who helped to raise the sign donation are front- Cassie Miller, Emma Simpson, Cate O’Brien, Colvin Feldhake and Abbi Bonomo; middle- Lane Jordan, Cooper Vincent, Treyton Burgess, Olivia Stewart and Carson Rolison; back- Ella Stultz, Rylee Matthews, Gavin Jacks, Paige Patton, Rebekah Ayres and Josie Bodine.

WRC WEIGHTLIFTING COMPETITION
Parke Heritage High School students participated in the Wabash River Conference (WRC) Weightlifting Challenge at Seeger. Teams competing were Attica, Riverton Parke, Seeger and Parke Heritage.
The athletes competed in bench press, squat, and power clean. They also did an index competition which calculated weight lifted vs body weight. Each category was broken down into skilled players and linemen. Parke Heritage won the overall team index with a 4.2
Seth Bollinger had the best individual index with an index of 5.2. This placed him in the top 10 of all time for the contest. Reece Simpson was the top overall junior and Bollinger was the top overall senior. Quinton Hanks was the most valuable lifter.
In the index category, skill player placings were first- Seth Bollinger, second- Austin Petrillo and fourth- Reece Simpson. Linemen placings were first- Max Sliz, second- Quenton Hanks and sixth- Curtis Stultz.
For the squat division, skilled position placings were Austin Petrillo- first and Seth Bollinger- second. For the linemen, Quenton Hanks placed second and Curtis Stultz was fourth.
Placing in the power cleans division were skilled players Austin Petrillo- fifth and linemen Max Sliz- fourth place and Quenton Hanks- fifth place.
Bench press placings were skilled players, Seth Bollinger- first and Austin Petrillo- second. Linemen placings were Max Sliz- third, Quenton Hanks- fourth and Curtis Stultz- fifth.

- Rockville Elementary staff members are starting “Tucked In Tuesdays" on Tuesday, April 2. The plan is to have a staff member read aloud LIVE on Facebook every Tuesday evening. A picture book will be read at 7:00 p.m. and a chapter book at 8:00 p.m. On Facebook, you need to like and ask to join the group "Tucked in Tuesdays".
