Neptune Navigate Modules
Students and parents, digital citizenship is very important to protect our students and community. Our district is dedicated to keeping our students safe while using school provided devices. Each student will be working through the Neptune Navigate Digital Citizenship Modules this week during an extended 1st Block on Tuesday and Thursday of this week. The Neptune Navigate Modules will focus on digital citizenship, cyberbullying, digital footprint, social media and digital world basics, media literacy, privacy, and tech laws/age appropriateness. Please see this letter for more information on the Neptune Navigate modules.
Benchmark and ACT Work KeysTesting
Students and Parents, we will have some testing this week. Students in EOC tested courses will have benchmark assessments. More specifically, English 2 students will be taking these assessments on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Students in Ms. Hinsenkamp’s Eng. 2 classes should report to the Media Center for testing on Monday morning. Mr. Bell’s Eng. 2 will test on Wednesday, and Ms. Baddour, and Ms. Galloway’s Eng. 2 students will test Friday in the Media Center. We will also have ACT Work Keys testing for Seniors this Wednesday. Seniors, please check your email for more information and contact Ms. Faison if you have any questions.
Tardy Sweeps
Frosty the Snowman had to hurry on his way or he was going to get caught in a Tardy Sweep! Students and parents, we want to maximize the time available for instruction for students. Every moment counts with only four weeks before final exams. Focus, attendance, and being on time is crucial. Students that are in the hallway without a pass will spend the remainder of the period in In School Suspension. Students that are consistently tardy to classes will be assigned to In School Suspension for a full day, and will not be able to attend after school events. Students that continue to be tardy to classes will be assigned to after school tutoring. Parents and guardians, please assist your child in the front office if they are checking in or provide the front office with documentation if they are checking in due to an appointment or other excused reason.
