MACK Move-A-Thon Pledge Money due TOMORROW!!!
In the mail, students should have received a M.A.C.K. MASK as a special thank you for participating in the Move-a-thon along with a stamped envelope to make it easy to return pledge sheets and money to school. There are 3 ways to return your donations:
Use the stamped envelope and send via US Mail.
Drop off your envelope before school in the drive-thru lane or use the mailbox outside the front office.
If your child is in-person, they can give the envelope to their teacher to turn in.
Questions? Please contact Kelly Schroeder (kschroeder@gusd.net) or Heidi Womack (heidiwomack33@gmail.com).

SEL Skill of the Week
This week Playworks is featuring a fun game that will help you identify problems and use problem-solving skills and creative thinking to solve it.
Social-Emotional Focus:
Being a good member of your community – Having appreciation and respect for the environment and others around you; displaying the traits of honesty and responsibility; doing the right thing even when it is hard.
Simplified Game Instructions
# of people to play: 5+
Best for ages: 4+
Setup/Teaching Time: 5 minutes
Equipment needed: None
Goal: To identify ways we can improve our community, and to try to remember what other players have suggested.
Before You Start:
Establish the order in which players will go (for example, alphabetical order by name) and type the list of names in the chat for everyone to see.
How to Play:
- Explain to the group that they are all going on a community picnic together and are all responsible for bringing an item or idea that will improve our community. For example, compostable plates, welcome signs, or canned goods to donate.
- The leader will start by saying their name and what they are bringing to the community picnic.
- The next person introduces the leader and their idea, then introduces themself and their new idea.
- The third person introduces the first two people and their ideas, and then introduces themself and their idea, and so on until everyone in the group has gone.
- If any player can’t remember anyone’s name or idea, don’t worry. Have the players re-introduce themselves to each other and then let the game continue.
