A Note From Mrs. Donnell

I hope you all enjoyed the pictures from last week’s Middle School/High School Retreat. I believe everyone who attended walked away with a new understanding of themselves and their own fears. Most importantly I believe everyone walked away understanding that we all have fears and many of us share the same fears and that God will help us overcome them when we are in relationship with Him.

My biggest takeaway from the retreat was the meaning of “The Dash” on our tombstones when we die. Few people are in our presence when we are born or when we die, but “The Dash” on our tombstone represents all the people in our presence in between our birth and our death. God calls us to be fearless in Him which allows us to make our “Dash” count. I challenged each of our students to think about their “Dash” and decide what it does, can and will represent when they are no longer on this earth. There is a poem titled “The Dash” by Linda Ellis. I hope that your students take the “Dash” challenge and become fearless in Christ.

In Christ’s Love

Mrs. Donnell
