We hope that you are able to spend the summer enjoying all that Southwest Michigan has to offer in the summer. Encourage your students to spend time reading and exploring. The Junior High Staff is already working and planning for an even better year in 2018-19. We wish everyone a safe and fun-filled summer.

Summer School
What students will be required to attend summer school?
8th grade students must pass 3 or more core classes to be promoted to 9th grade. Students that did not meet that criteria must recover classes through summer school.
7th grade students have the choice to recover any failed core classes or to prevent having to repeat Spanish I or Math.
6th grade students have the choice to recover any failed core classes
How is Summer School structured?
Summer School will be a combination of online instruction and direct instruction that is led by a certified teacher.
What are the dates and times?
Summer school will be held July 9th - August 3rd. Classes will be held Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Students must attend daily.
Transportation?
There is no transportation for the JH Summer School. Students are required to have their own ride to and from each day.
How do I sign up?
Students should arrive on the first day of summer school. We will assign classes based upon individual student need.
How will I know if my child is required to attend?
You will receive a letter in the mail with your child's final report card with information regarding summer school.
