Dear Proviso Community:

We are closely monitoring the winter storm that will affect our area on Thursday and Friday of this week. Our primary concern is to ensure the health and safety of our scholars and staff. Based on the forecast, we will implement the District’s Inclement Weather Plan as follows:

• The District will be closed due to the inclement weather. Only maintenance employees and other essential employees as determined by the Superintendent will be required to report to the buildings.

• Students will attend an E-learning day on both days and will be provided synchronous instruction.

• Teachers, Administrators, and Paraeducators are required to be available on the District’s E-learning platform from 8:00 a.m. through 3:15 p.m. The District’s E-Learning Plan can be found at this link.

• Building and District Administrators are required to work remotely and support E-Learning as necessary.

Any employee group unable to perform their job duties, including but not limited to security, secretarial, and clerical, shall receive their contracted pay for December 22 and December 23, 2022.

Estamos monitoreando de cerca la tormenta invernal que afectará nuestra área el jueves y viernes de esta semana. Nuestra principal prioridad es garantizar la salud y la seguridad de nuestros alumnos y personal. Basándonos en el pronóstico, implementaremos el Plan de Inclemencias Climáticas del Distrito de la siguiente manera:

• El Distrito permanecerá cerrado debido a las inclemencias del tiempo. Sólo los empleados de mantenimiento y otros empleados esenciales según lo determinado por el Superintendente tendrán que reportarse a los edificios.

• Los estudiantes asistirán a un día de aprendizaje en línea en ambos días y se les proporcionará instrucción sincrónica.

• Se requiere que los maestros, administradores y asistentes educativos estén disponibles en la plataforma de E-learning del Distrito desde las 8:00 a.m. hasta las 3:15 p.m. El Plan de Aprendizaje en Línea del Distrito se puede encontrar en este enlace.

• Se requiere que los administradores de los edificios y del Distrito trabajen a remoto y apoyen el E-Learning cuando sea necesario.

Cualquier grupo de empleados que no pueda realizar sus tareas de trabajo, incluyendo pero no limitado a seguridad, secretariado y oficina, recibirán su pago contratado para el 22 de diciembre y 23 de diciembre de 2022.
