Respiratory System Basics
The respiratory system, includes the nose, throat, voice box, windpipe and lungs.
At the top of the respiratory system, the nostrils are the air intake thats where it gets warmed and humidified. Tiny hairs called cilia protect the nasal passageway, getting rid of dust and other particles that go in the nose when you breathe air.

Diseases
Asthma - lung disease that inflames and narrows the airways.
Bronchitis - inflammation of the mucous membranes of the bronchi.
Emphysema - is a type of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. involving damage to the air sacs.
Hay Fever - also known as allergic rhinitis, is a common thing that shows signs and symptoms like to a cold.
Pleurisy - inflammation of the pleura, the lining of the pleural cavity surrounding the lungs.
Pneumonia - inflammatory condition of the lungs affecting the microscopic air sacs (alveoli).
Rhinitis - inflammation of the mucous membrane inside the nose.
Tuberculosis - is a disease caused by bacteria called mycobacterium tuberculosis. The bacteria usually goes to the lungs.
