Love Your Library this July!
Thank you for making Summer Reading a huge succcess!
Springville Public Library loves the more than 100 children who registered and participated in our Summer Reading program. We would like to thank McWane Science Center, Storyteller Aronda Renda, Karate Instructor Kathleen Adams, and the entire zoo crew of 6th Day Creations for making Summer Reading so much fun! The library is grateful to Jack's, McDonald's, Waffle House, Spare Time, and the McWane Center for all the exciting prizes donated for our young readers. We would also like to say a big thank you to our friends at Springville United Methodist Church for hosting us during rainy days.

Springville Public Library loves local artist Angela Taylor
Angela Taylor's love of quilting began in 1989 when she checked out a quilting book from her local library. In 1990, she attended a program on quilting at the Trussville Public Library and met quilter Lena Colley. She was invited to become a member of the East Jefferson Quilters Guild and began attending regular quilting sessions at the Springville Road Library.
In 1995, Angela and Lena opened their own quilting business, New Traditions Machine Quilting. This business has continued to expand and provides Angela with an artistic outlet and "a way to keep warm."
Angela's love of libraries and her passion for her art make her a perfect fit for Springville Public Library's Artist of the Month. Mrs. Taylor's work will be on display in the library throughout the month of July. Please visit us and take time enjoy her quilt artistry!
